Celebrating Our 40th Anniversary

The Manitowish Waters Sno-Skeeters was formed in 1968 and is celebrating Our 40th anniversary this year. The club is a non profit organization dedicated to providing the best snowmobile trails in the northwoods. The club is a non profit organization and meets the 1st Tue of each month, (Sept -April) The Sno-Skeeters hold fundraisers that enable them to purchase equipment and fuel.

This year the club is purchased a 2009 Tucker groomer. The volunteers that groom our trails are: Mark Smit, Bob Skrobot, Chris Sindberg, Jack Bauer, Bryan Klug and Wes Lupa. We have come a long way since our beginning. In the old days the trails were groomed by pulling an old bed spring behind a snowmobile. Then we upgraded to a tractor- skidder with no cab to protect the groomer operator from the elements. The comfort, handling and technology of our new groomer is a tremendous improvement over where we started. We Greatly appreciate all the efforts and contributions of our volunteers, past and present. They have made this club what it is today.

CAUTION: TRAIL PIG X-ING
If you encounter this pig while out on the trails, please feed it. Previously thought to be a docile creature, it has been known to devour snowmobilers in one bite when hungry. It feeds on one dollar bills but has been known to have an appetite for larger bills. Its meals go directly toward maintaining our trail system. The pig can be found at most pit stops. Thank you for your support.
